Unfortunately, no one is putting up "miss me yet?" Clinton billboards.

The Daily Mail:

Miss Me Yet?

With heavy bags and bloodshot eyes, President Barack Obama looked older than his 48 years during a press briefing at the White House yesterday.

Given the battering in the polls he’s received recently it’s hardly a surprise to see the American leader looking less than his best – although a unwelcome blast from the past may have something to do with his exhausted appearance.

A mysterious billboard with a picture of former President George W Bush and a caption asking ‘Miss me yet?’ has appeared at a US roadside.

The sign was at first dismissed as an internet hoax, but reporters on the ground in Wyoming, where it sprang up, have confirmed it is real.

A group of small business owners from Minnesota and Minneapolis are rumoured to be behind the billboard and its funding, although they have asked to remain anonymous.

I first felt what Laurie felt, that I missed Clinton, just after the inauguration. But after some six hundred speeches by Obama, yes, in comparison, I miss Bush.

Wyoming! Yay.... I cheer for the state I grew up in. On a recent Beck show, Wyoming was the top rated state fiscally. Beck went on to talk about Texas, which does have a great track record, but when you're talking regulations or taxes, no state holds a candle to Wyoming.

4% sales tax, no income tax on the individual, the corporation, or a business, no estate taxes, 8 mils is the average property tax (on real properties assessed value), but they do collect a mineral severance tax.

The Tax Foundation rates the state as the most business friendly of all states.

The sign was in Wyoming, Minnesota. But I think it would have gotten a pretty good reception in Wyoming.

Re: the poll question, I wouldn't say I "miss" George Bush, but he was considerably less awful than Obama.

I miss Clinton with a Republican Congress to give him adult supervision, or Reagan, or Goldwater ... all the other presidents during my lifetime have been terrible.

A year ago I didn't think it was possible for my disdain to go any deeper, but I despise Obama even more than I despised Bush.  That said, I can't say I miss the W, even in comparison.  Breaking a leg doesn't make me miss a broken arm.  When the One becomes an all-out spinal paralysis with a skull fracture, then maybe.  He's gettin' there.

I have to agree with Glenn Beck here.  He was like a pot of tepid water, slowly heating up.  Eight years ago, I naively considered it possible that Social Security would be gone, or at least, optional (after all, this is a "free country," right?), or at least scaled back.  Instead, we got the Medicare Prescription drug plan...isn't that like me demanding that Cigna, to which I no longer pay premimus, pay for my prescriptions?  And why couldn't he use the bully pulpit to expose the insanity of Barney Frank instead of actively promoting the "ownership" society?

Then, the pasty resistance (or pièce de résistance, but I hate to use French phraseology), was the bailouts.

When are we going to get a President that realizes that any bill that crosses his desk has to be damn good to warrant a signature?  I should think that in the best of circumstances, a 10 percent signature rate would be a lofty limit.  If any bill has any possibililty to infringe liberty of a single citizen, it deserves a veto.  I wish even Reagan could have done that.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think Harley was saying that Obama may be so bad that we might even wish for that most awful of progressives, Woodrow Wilson back. And he may be right.
